Dosh Dosh a very famous and well respected and widely read blogger wrote about the same subject 3 days after I wrote it here. I'm honored to be in such company.

John, twitter is a good way to meet the non-Aers. I follow conversations, which tend to keep me in a field. For example, if I am interested in the latest smartphone release, I find a friend who tends to talk tech and look at the conversations around that friend.

Also, lots of blogging directories out there. Also, check comments. I've met awesome people that way.

Chris, I like your perspective on this. I'm in the similar position of being mostly off the radar.

Which makes me ask the question, how does PR discover the B, C, D, and J list bloggers?

Twitter is certainly one source but that has some definite demographic skews. So what do you do if you're looking to pitch past the mainstream blogs?
I'm sure there are answers out there, I'm interested in what they are.

Meryl,

Thanks for note. I think my muse this week was the stupid "outing" list mania that's going on now.

Thanks for stopping by.

Must be PR in the air -- as I am picking up lots of great articles and resources this week -- yours being one, too.

You're right about the A vs B, C, D blogger thing. Attracting us low-level bloggers is easier, but ya PR folk (don't worry, I'm one of 'em, too) still gotta be on topic. Check the blog before you email the blogger.

One of the reasons I love your blog is because of your disciplined approach to research and fact checking. It certainly helps your blog to stand out from the three hundred and fifty gazabijillion others ;)

Jeff,
I'm very impressed that you got link love from the great Mr. John C. Dvorak (not a joke). I've always admired him. Keep up the great work!
