Mr. Reasonable,
I want to keep my computer clean and not become a tool of the cyber terrorists, but it’s confusing. What’s a simple way to keep my stuff straight?
Signed, Simple from Brick Township
Dear Thick As a Brick,
Try this- visit our downloads page and- ’s the easy paherert- don’t download and save, instead Run From Current Location. That will make your computer download the program and then just automatically run it right away. Then you don’t have to go looking for the download.
Do that with each of the programs in the ESSENTIAL UTILITIES section of our download page.
Then- do the same Run From Current Location to Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy from the BEST PROGRAMS WE’VE FOUND section.
Follow the directions and you will have a copy of Spybot and Adaware on your desktop.
Now- ’s the trick- hereRename Spybot to “Run on the 30th” and rename Adaware to “Run on the 15th” That will help you remember when to run each program.
Dear Mr. Reasonable,
I was thinking of going into New York for the Republican National Convention. I might want to join a Peace Rally or other protest. Do you have any advice for me?
Beat Nik in Bernardsville
Dear Nik,
Here is Mr. Reasonable’s recommended list of essentials for protests:
- First Aid Kit
- Visine (for tear gas)
- Water bottles (keep emptys to use for disposal of used water)
- Comfortable Walking Shoes
- Snake bite kit (it is after all New York)
- Several hundred dollars bail money
- Uppers to keep you up all night
- Downers for the jail cell (they’re noisy)
- Anarchist’s Handbook
- Fake dynomite sticks (you get handled very kindly by police)
- Portable radio to hear the news reports about your arrest.
- Wide brimmed hat to cover your face the next morning while exiting the jail.
Hope that helps Nik!
That’s all for Mr. Reasonable this month.
